Rs 2500 Every month, Government made Big Announcement for Senior Citizens

The state and central governments run many schemes for poor and needy people. These schemes help people below the poverty line, and poor people get little. Recently, the Delhi government made a big announcement for Senior Citizens. After listening to it, people were very happy and praised the state government.

Senior Citizens Pension Scheme

Just before Delhi Assembly Election, Delhi Ex-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a pension for senior citizens of Delhi. This will benefit more than 5 lakh 30 thousand senior citizens of Delhi.

Rs 2500 Every Month

Recently in a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that he always got to hear the demand for Senior Citizen’s pensions wherever he went during Padyatra. People ask him to start a pension or complain to him about the pension being stopped. So, and pension for old people will be started. Those who are between 60 to 69 years of age will get Rs 2000 every month. Those who are 70 years or above will get Rs 2500.

5.3 Lakh Senior Citizens Getting Benefit

He also added, ‘When we formed our government in 2015 number of people getting pension was 3.32 Lakh. Till now 80,000 more people have been added. The scheme has been passed by the cabinet and has been implemented already. The online pension portal is already operational and received more than 10,000 applications in last 24 hours’.

During the announcement of the pension scheme, Arvind Kejriwal also mentioned Delhi has the highest Pension money for Senior Citizens. Mentioning a few other states’ pension amounts he clarified Delhi Government provides the most amount for Senior Citizen Pension Scheme.
