Monday Test Passed with Distinction
Weekdays usually bring in fewer audiences, and thus, the earnings of the film decrease on Monday. However, the case was different with Dhurandhar. The net total in India touched about ₹126.25 Cr, with ₹23.25 Cr added on Monday. This is some indication that the film kept dominating the interest after the weekend. Occupancy data reveals that numerous theatres still had a good turnout. The morning shows started with roughly 13% of the seats filled, the afternoon with 26%, and the evening with 38%. Some places had night shows with even more than 50% occupancy. This continuous attendance was one of the factors helping the film remain in the lead. As per early eastimate, Dhurandhar is going to have a higher day 5 than day 4. Reports suggest that it is going to collect around ₹25 Cr on its first Tuesday.
Why Dhurandhar Keeps Winning
There are many reasons that can be put forward to justify Dhurandhar’s success. First, its plot – a realistic spy thriller – has an attraction for a large audience. Second, the ensemble cast and acting, mainly Akshaye Khanna’s deadly interpretation as the main antagonist, make the film very strong. Third, the music of the films. Most of the audience is still grooving to its album, which has a fusion of modern and classic Hindi songs.
Moreover, positive word of mouth and the huge scale release have also been contributing factors. A lot of viewers are suggesting seeing the film. This is a nice way to keep the screenings alive even after the initial hype has passed. In case the same speed is maintained, Dhurandhar might become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year 2026, beating Chhava’s mammoth Indian net collection of ₹601.54 Cr. For the time being, Dhurandhar’s box office report remains one of the most remarkable early Bollywood success stories of the year.
Dhurandhar is the second directorial feature of Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) fame Aditya Dhar. It stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role along with an ensemble cast, consisting of Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
