India Post GDS 4th Merit List 2024 Out
The wait for shortlisted candidates in India Post GDS recruitment is over. Merit lists for all states are released on the official website except for Jharkhand, Maharastra, and 48 other divisions. This is because of the Model Code of Conduct by the Election Commission of India.
The official website has a notice saying “List of 48 Divisions whose List-III & IV results are withheld due to Model Code of Conduct”
How Merit List is made
For those who like to know how the merit list is made here is the process. Candidates who applied for the post are ranked according to their marks obtained / Grades / Points in the Madhyamik Exam or 10th Class final exam. The aggregated percentages up to 4 decimals have been taken to calculate the merit list.

- To check the merit list candidates have to follow the steps
- First you need to visit India Post official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Then click on Candidate’s corner scroll down to Shortlisted Candidates and click on the “+” button.
- Now open the shortlisted candidates list and check your name using the registration number you have.
44,228 Gramik Dak Sevak vacancies to be Filled Up
This is the 4th merit list that has been released. The first merit list was released in 20th August, then the second on 18th September, and the previous or third list was released on 22nd October 2024. A total of 44,228 vacancies have to be filled up by India Post in 23 postal circles.
