Launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in 2021, not only provides Rs 1000 every month but also gives Rs 2 Lakh Health Insurance. People who are working in the unorganized sector can benefit from this scheme. 30 broad business sectors and more than 400 types of businesses can be registered under eShram services.
Eligibility
If you want to apply for an E-Shram card then some eligibilities need to be checked,
1. Applicant must be an Indian Citizen between the ages of 16 to 59.
2. Applicant must work in an unorganized sector in the daily wage system
3. Those who will apply must not be enrolled in EPFO or ESIC scheme
4. A functional mobile number that is linked to Aadhar is needed.
How to Apply Online
1. To apply for e-Shram you first need to visit the official website (https://eshram.gov.in)
2. Then click on ‘REGISTER on eShram’ and you will be redirected to self registration page. Now complete the registration and send OTP in to verify the mobile number and log in.
3. Once you log in to the portal you can start filling out the form and put everything asked like educational qualification, occupation, skills known, etc.
4. Once all details are submitted an OTP will be sent to the mobile number before the submission of the application.
5. Now enter the OTP and submit. After successful submission, an E-Shram card can be downloaded.
