KL Rahul-Backed Boldfit Raises Over Rs 400 Crore in Series B Funding Round

Published on:

Boldfit, the Bengaluru-based sports and fitness brand backed by cricketer KL Rahul, has raised over Rs 400 crore, or about USD 42 million, in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Bharat Value Fund, which is managed by The Wealth Company Alternates, part of the Pantomath Group. Existing investor Bessemer Venture Partners also joined the round.

The company said the fresh capital will go into nationwide retail expansion, product innovation and manufacturing, along with select acquisitions. It is one of the larger consumer brand rounds in the Indian sports and fitness segment this year.

The funding round and its investors

Bharat Value Fund led the round through The Wealth Company Alternates, while Bessemer Venture Partners returned as an existing backer. Cricketer KL Rahul is also an existing investor in the brand. Per the company and reports by Entrackr, Boldfit had earlier raised Rs 110 crore, or around USD 13 million, in November 2024 in a round led by Bessemer, and a further USD 8.37 million from existing backers including Rahul.

How Boldfit plans to use the money

The Bengaluru brand said the money will fund the shift from a largely online business to a wider retail footprint, deepen product development and build manufacturing capacity. Boldfit also said it will selectively pursue inorganic opportunities, a signal that acquisitions are on the table to widen its presence and capabilities across categories.

Revenue, profit and the FY26 question

Boldfit is yet to file its FY26 financials. Its last reported year showed sharp growth on both counts. Operating revenue rose 2.17 times to Rs 304 crore in FY25 from Rs 140 crore in FY24, while profit grew 2.08 times to Rs 35 crore in FY25 from Rs 16.82 crore a year earlier. How the brand holds its margins while adding physical stores will be the number to watch.

Founders and the Boldfit story

Boldfit was co-founded in 2018 by Pallav Bihani and Aasshna Guptaa. It runs an e-commerce platform that sells sports and fitness products across apparel, fitness equipment, nutrition supplements and accessories. The portfolio covers basketball, cycling, football, volleyball, badminton and cricket, with more than 400 products.

The company says it serves more than 2 crore customers annually. Its stated ambition is to build a sports brand for a billion Indians, a goal it links to product innovation, manufacturing and nationwide distribution.

A busy year for sports and fitness funding

Boldfit is not alone in drawing fresh capital. Sportswear platform Agilitas raised Rs 225 crore in June 2026 from Nexus Venture Partners and Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, while PlayBlue raised USD 2.7 million in seed funding in July 2026 from Centre Court Capital, MIXI Global and WEH Ventures.

What happens next

With the Series B in place, the focus shifts to execution: opening stores, scaling manufacturing and keeping the product pipeline moving. Boldfit has not disclosed a valuation for this round. Whether the brand can convert its online momentum into profitable retail will decide how quickly the next milestone arrives.
