Chapter Home Raises Rs 63 Crore At Rs 1,000 Crore Valuation To Build Home And Kitchen Brands

Published on:

Chapter Home, a home and kitchen consumer brands company, has raised Rs 63 crore through a mix of equity and debt, according to reports from Entrackr and Inc42, both published on 22 October 2026. The round includes Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian and investor Tanmay Bhat, and a group of family offices. The valuation is close to Rs 1,000 crore.

The company said it has also lined up further commitments from undisclosed backers for a future fundraise. It has not named those investors, and the reports did not say when that fundraise is expected to take place.

How The Money Will Be Deployed

The company plans to use the funds to strengthen product development, enter new categories, invest in technology and brand building, scale omnichannel distribution, and set up its first physical retail touchpoints. Taken together, these steps point to a shift from a single online label to a set of separate brands, each built around one category and sold through several routes to buyers.

The retail plan is particularly notable because it brings the company into physical stores for the first time. Offline outlets will sit alongside its online presence, giving customers more than one place to see and buy its products.

Brand Strategy And Category Plan

Chapter Home’s first category launch is HOKIPO, an online home furnishing brand. The company has said it intends to add brands in bed and table linen, cookware, home decor and small kitchen appliances. Each of these brands will plug into a shared platform that covers sourcing, supply chain, content, technology and distribution.

The company also said it uses artificial intelligence across this platform for product cataloguing, content creation, demand forecasting, product assortment, customer targeting and retention. Products will be sold through online marketplaces, quick commerce platforms, the company’s own direct-to-consumer channel, and offline retail stores.

Cofounder Nitin Chugh said in a statement: “Consumers are increasingly looking for better-designed products, trusted quality, strong functionality and a superior overall experience – online and in store – and we see a meaningful opportunity to build for those needs. That is why we are building focused brands for each category across home and kitchen.”

Valuation And The Wider Sector

The close-to-Rs 1,000 crore valuation places Chapter Home among a group of Indian home and decor startups that have attracted investor interest in 2026. AllHome, founded by PharmEasy cofounders, raised Rs 200 crore in a Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners earlier this year. In August, home decor marketplace Vaaree raised Rs 65 crore in a Series A co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures. Earlier, D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials raised Rs 70 crore in a pre-Series B round led by 360 ONE Asset.

According to Inc42, the Indian home furnishing and decor market is projected to become a $45.5 billion opportunity by 2031. Demand for kitchen technology has also been rising, with buyers picking up induction cooktops, smart appliances, electric rice cookers and air fryers. These trends are the backdrop for the category choices Chapter Home has made.

Founders And The PharmEasy Background

Chapter Home was founded in 2025 by Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal. All five were part of the founding and leadership team at PharmEasy before starting Chapter Home. Their experience in building consumer businesses at scale is the context in which the company is now planning its brand portfolio.

What Happens Next For Chapter Home

The next steps include rolling out the planned categories, expanding distribution across online and offline channels, and opening the first physical retail touchpoints. The company has not shared timelines for these moves, and the outcome will depend on how its brands perform in a crowded market.
