Five IPOs To Raise Rs 2,581 Crore Next Week

Published on:

India’s primary market faces another heavy week. Five mainboard issues will seek a combined Rs 2,581 crore between October 26 and October 30, led by the Rs 1,200 crore offer from EAAA India Alternatives, The Economic Times reported on Sunday. The slate follows the Rs 30,213 crore Jio Platforms issue, India’s largest.

Split the number and the week’s character shows. Only Rs 808 crore is fresh equity that reaches company balance sheets. The other Rs 1,773 crore is offer for sale, where existing shareholders sell and the company banks nothing. Three of the five issues carry an OFS component, and for EAAA the whole Rs 1,200 crore is promoter Edelweiss Securities and Investments divesting 72.07 lakh shares.

EAAA is the largest and most watched. It runs real assets and private credit funds. The price band is Rs 1,585 to Rs 1,665, the issue closes on October 28, and the top band implies a market capitalisation of Rs 10,765 crore. Assets under management were Rs 95,345 crore at June 2026, 49.32 per cent of it from pension funds, insurers and other institutions.

Its anchor book, finalised on October 23, raised about Rs 360 crore. Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global and Schroders participated, and ten domestic mutual funds took 61 per cent, including HDFC, ICICI Prudential, SBI and Kotak. Retail investors need nine shares, Rs 14,985 at the top band.

The Five Issues On The Table

SFC Environmental Technologies raises Rs 667.53 crore at Rs 313 to Rs 330 between October 27 and 29, split as Rs 150 crore fresh equity and Rs 517.53 crore OFS, with the new money for debt repayment and working capital. It builds wastewater and solid waste systems for civic and industrial projects.

BLS Polymers is the biggest all-fresh issue: Rs 255 crore at Rs 142 to Rs 150 from October 27, of which Rs 77.56 crore expands its Goa plant and Rs 89.5 crore funds working capital. Its compounds go into power cables, telecom networks, railway equipment and pipelines.

MK Sons Fine Jewels, a five-showroom Mumbai and Ahmedabad retailer, opens October 28 for Rs 275.4 crore at Rs 153 to Rs 162, with Rs 539 crore of FY26 revenue and Rs 52 crore of profit after tax. Bombay Coated and Special Steels follows on October 29 with Rs 183.06 crore at Rs 78 to Rs 82, with Rs 125 crore for debt repayment.

Where The Money Will Go

The arithmetic says more about promoter exits than expansion. Rs 1,773 crore of the week is secondary sale, and one block of Rs 1,200 crore belongs to EAAA’s promoter. Buyers are not funding a business plan but an existing fee pool, which is why fee paying assets matter more than headline size.

Real capital formation is narrower: about Rs 808 crore across four issuers, for a polymer plant in Goa, water treatment capacity, jewellery showrooms in Maharashtra and Gujarat, and debt reduction at a steel processor.

Coming Off A Record Week

The backdrop is strong. Jio Platforms drew over Rs 4.5 lakh crore in bids and more than 1.25 crore applications, closing 22.19 times subscribed, per Safal Capital data cited by The Economic Times. It lists on October 28 with a grey market premium near Rs 247 over the Rs 1,119 issue price, implying about Rs 1,366, though such levels are unofficial. Paras Healthcare, subscribed 2.23 times, also lists that day.

Risks And Open Questions

Valuation is the first question. Mint’s review computes 40.6 times FY26 earnings at the upper band; BusinessLine put it near 37 times, the gap showing how much the base matters. An asset manager’s profit is lumpy anyway, since roughly 39 per cent of EAAA’s FY26 revenue came from performance linked returns and general partner income rather than management fees.

The second is supply. Five mainboard and four SME issues in one week, after one that absorbed a large slice of capital, tests appetite for smaller names. The SME tranche seeks close to Rs 200 crore through Wiscon Industries, Carver Roboweld, Ajwa Projects and Antala Industries, a segment that softens first when money tightens.

The Desk View

Next week tests the queue, not any single company. A Rs 2,581 crore slate is small beside Rs 30,213 crore, so the signal is subscription quality: whether EAAA’s anchor interest converts into institutional demand at the top band, and whether the four smaller books fill.

EAAA’s allotment is expected on October 29 and its listing on November 2. The number worth holding on to is the Rs 808 crore of fresh money, the only part of the week that adds capital to Indian companies.
